Retired Church Secretary Married 1
Wow, it's really been 40 years since we graduated high school? Hummm ... well now ... I've been married to Terry Waldhier for 21 years (we dated for 7 years). I have one stepson, Mike, whom Terry had custody of from a previous marriage, and we raised in Glenview, IL. Mike is now happily married and living in State College, PA finishing his degree and working for Penn State and the Literacy Council. Terry is semi-retired from AT&T, but still works as an outside resource engineer. I've retired as a Church Secretary and am now taking classes (on & off) in Botanical Art from the Chicago Botanic Garden and Morton Arboritum. We moved in June 2006 from Glenview, IL (after 22 yrs) to Millbrook, IL. Millbrook is in Kendall County on the Fox River near Yorkville and Sandwich, just south of Plano. Best thing we ever did was to move out here...were the stars are bright, the sky is blue, the air is clean and the "critters" and birds roam free. Just 3 blocks away from our home is the canoe launch onto the Fox River. I'm just beginning to get back into my hobbies of botanical art, sewing and (my paying hobbie - baking pies). I used to have a mini-business when I lived in Glenview. I was "The Pie Lady". You'd call me up 48 hrs in advance and I'd bake your favorite pie and then deliver it to your home in time for your social function. It was a small business I'd started while working for the church, it paid for my art classes etc. but not much more (just a paying hobbie). I'm looking forward to seeing and talking to any and all who remember me. Blessings to you all and see you in September. -- Val Smith Waldhier P.S. Will upload photos of Then & Now as soon as we install our new computer scanner. Very Soon ... I hope! Send Valerie a MessageSend Valerie a Message

Academic - Medical Research Married
It's very good to be back in touch - cyber or not. When I first looked at the site, all the insecurities of high school came barreling in from 40 years ago. Now that the dust has settled - it feels good to remember my friends. I am married to a woodworker and am on the faculty at the University of Washington in Comparative Medicine. This - after years of striving to study agriculture including getting a PhD in embryology of farm animals at University College, Dublin. These days, I keep a few goats in the back and have a productive garden to eat from to satisfy the passion for farming. We feel fortunate that my mother and step-father have moved from Hinsdale to live on Bainbridge Island near Keith and I. Send Carol a MessageSend Carol a Message

Lawyer www.foleyhoag.com Married
Can it have been 40 years ago that I headed East for college and law school? Since then, I've lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with my wife Susan (New Trier '68), a history professor. These days we spend as much time as we can at an old farm in northern New Hampshire, where our dogs chase moose and wild turkey but mainly catch porcupines. This year I caught up with several of my HTHS classmates to help plan the reunion, and I was amazed at how quickly we rekindled our friendships. I look forward to seeing all the rest of you in September! Send Don a MessageSend Don a Message

Hey, everybody. Ain't life funny ... I actually thought about Squamish the other day and how fun those old days were.   Spent 30 years in IL; 10 in Houston; 13 in L.A.; a short stint in Tulsa; and, now back in Hoston in the oil services industry.  Check out our website at www.michunche.com for the latest about what we're doing.  We have property in Costa Rica and will retire there soon.  Y'all take care!  8/07 Send John a MessageSend John a Message

Enjoying Life Committed Relationship
After receiving my MA in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin, I spent 10 years teaching college-level Spanish. I then began a 20-year career in retail management, retiring as an Operations Manager from a local, Austin JCPenney. I now divide my time between Austin and Mykonos, Greece where I own a small clothing boutique called "Blow." I love my life and my partner. Enjoy the Reunion! I'm jealous of all the people who say they're retired. Having just rehabbed a house, and having a sophomore in college, I won't be able to join them anytime soon! Two daughters: Heather (and grandson Calvin) in California; Emily at Temple U.'s Tyler school of art in Philadelphia. Nearing my 35th year at the Chicago Sun-Times. Still love music. Bike to work as often as possible. Look forward to the reunion. Send Chris a MessageSend Chris a Message
