I just wanted to thank you and the committee again for providing us with such a wonderful reunion. It was absolutely fabulous, especially the dinner and cocktail party. It was great to have the open bar and full run of the facility until we closed it down after 1:30 a.m.
I have been to after-parties at all the previous reunions and thought it was really good that we didn't have to drive some place else -- could just stay there and hang out with everyone. The only thing I would change is that I wish we could have had activities every day for three days. I went to a ladies brunch the next morning where everyone was so hoarse they could hardly speak. I felt incredibly sad that this was my last event and time to talk with classmates for a while. I mostly hang out with people younger than me or older, so it was a real treat to spend a weekend with people just my age again who'd been through all the same things and times I had. ! What a trip!
There unfortunately wasn't enough time to talk with everyone I wanted to Saturday, and I heard there were some classmates who came only Saturday night whom I never saw. But not getting enough keeps them coming back for more!
Great, first- rate job! My special thanks for the resources and time you have devoted to the web site -- it really provided the momentum fpr the reunion and will continue to serve as the glue to keep us together. It couldn't have been better, especially now that you've added the message boards, which I think I might have been the one to suggest that some weeks back.
I will be contributing to the boards after I get caught up as I have been away most of time since late August. and have a parental care crisis that I'm also dealing with. You might get Erin to send out an email to everyone that the message boards are now open for those who went and those who couldn't make it.
Maybe we could have a 45th reunion? Some were proposing that Saturday night.
On a final note, I enjoyed talking with Carol. She is lovely and appreciate her supporting your giving us this unforgettable experience.
If you are ever out in DC/Northern VA/Dulles airport area with Carol or by yourself, give me a shout. We have moved further out toward Dulles airport area and it would be fun to hear more about what you're up to. You're welcome to come over for a drink here anytime, and meet my spouse, an Atlanta/Dallas guy. With all the activity, you're one of the people that I didn't get to talk to as much as I would have liked.
Or if we had more time, we could try to put together a regional gathering -- a HTHS-DC chapter!! It would be really good to have every one listed by area somewhere on the web site for that purpose or to add their city under their listing. Or maybe someone could put together a hard copy basic directory with contact info so we'd know who's located where.
